Terms of Service

⚠ Important — please read. TradeLeader is a portfolio intelligence tool. It is not investment advice. We do not recommend specific securities, time the market for you, or manage your money. Information surfaced in TradeLeader is for educational and analytical purposes only. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Read Section 7 carefully.

Welcome to TradeLeader. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TradeLeader's websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by TradeLeader ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter binding contracts in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at security@tradeleader.io of any unauthorized access.
  • One person per account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

3. Description of the Service

TradeLeader provides software-based portfolio intelligence: analytics, alerts, summaries, and projections derived from data you connect (via SnapTrade) or enter manually. The Service may display third-party data (market quotes, news, earnings estimates) provided "as is."

4. Subscription and billing

  • The Service is offered on a subscription basis, billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
  • Paid plans may include a free trial. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account settings.
  • Refunds: monthly plans are non-refundable for the current period. Annual plans receive a pro-rated refund within 14 days of initial purchase if you have not actively used the Service.
  • We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.
  • Taxes are your responsibility unless we're legally required to collect them.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
  • Scrape, mine, or systematically extract data via automated means.
  • Re-sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs.
  • Use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, conduct security probes, or interfere with other users.
  • Provide false information or impersonate others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Your data and content

You retain ownership of all data you connect or enter ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited license to use Customer Data solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you. We will not use your portfolio data to train third-party AI models or sell it. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Not investment advice

This is the most important section. Read it.

  • TradeLeader is a software tool. It is not a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) and provides no investment advice.
  • Information surfaced in the Service — including alerts, briefs, projections, scenarios, and analytics — is for educational and analytical purposes only.
  • We do not recommend the purchase or sale of any specific security. We do not assess whether any investment is suitable for your particular circumstances.
  • Past performance is not indicative of future results. Projections (including Monte Carlo, retirement, goal-based) rely on assumptions that may be wrong.
  • Tax-related features (wash-sale tracking, lot picking, cap gains forecasting, estimated tax) are estimates. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified tax professional or CPA.
  • Any decision you make based on TradeLeader is your own. You bear all risk.
  • Consult a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or attorney before making decisions with material financial consequences.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties, including SnapTrade, your broker(s), market data providers, and others listed on our Security page. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or actions of those third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use their services.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including code, design, branding, and content we publish, is owned by TradeLeader and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your subscription is active.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeLeader and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or investments — whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or otherwise — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TradeLeader and its affiliates from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

  • You may terminate by canceling your subscription and deleting your account from settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or with 30 days' notice for any reason.
  • On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Data export remains available for 30 days, after which we delete your data per the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas. You agree to personal jurisdiction there. Both parties waive the right to a jury trial.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

16. Miscellaneous

  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a right doesn't waive that right.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in the ordinary course of business (e.g., merger or acquisition).
  • These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Security page constitute the entire agreement between you and TradeLeader regarding the Service.
